About me.
Not being content to stay within the narrow box of my original training and experience, I've always gravitated to the forefront of communications, acquiring new skills in emergent technologies like web content and design, social media, graphic design & desktop publishing, digital video editing and production, etc.
For a client, the advantage of that is having someone who can turn on a dime, and adapt to changing circumstances. If a new web app isn't behaving, I can literally call on a variety of alternative methods (even pasteups on a drawing board, if absolutely necessary!) to provide a workaround when the deadline is approaching and digital methods have unexpectedly reached a dead end, either because of software problems or system outages. Beyond the hands-on skillset, of course, there is also the accumulated experience that comes from working in a variety of different communications environments, which can offer a valuable perspective to a contract, short-term project, or freelance team.
